I have kinda been feeling the same way. I am lazy sometimes when I had so much more energy. Its like the old me is starting to come back in some ways. however I have noticed that since we are going into Spring I am feeling a little more energized because I am not freezing my ass off and it s not pitch black when I get out of work. I think that I am going to use the nice weather to my advantage and get outside and be active but do it while having fun and enjoying nature and stuff like that. So instead of having to work out and feeling like its a chore I can go for a walk with my friends or go to the park or ride my bike or play basketball with my boyfriend. Also I got the Wii Fit by the way its really cool. you can excersise while playing video games and it tracks your progress as well.

I agree with the Wii fit idea...it's a cool way to have fun and not ever really FEEL like you're working out (and you can do it at home!) Plus there's more variety...and with a couple more people, it can get really competetive!!

I've been using Snake River Conspiracy and Lords of Acid (for the NOT SO EASILY OFFENDED CROWD) to motivate me...nothing like foul mouthed girl rockers to make me wanna go out and conquer the world (after my treadmill, of course!)

lol
good luck to you!

I hear ya on the motivation thing. It's so hard! It's still cold here in Buffalo, so it's not like I can just get up and go for a walk with the baby. Spring is just around the corner and once you get into a groove and make it a routine again.

When I decided to have surgery it was because I knew it was my last resort and the only thing left I hadnt tried to lose and keep weight off. Thats my motivation... if I screw this up I am basically out of options.
Set a rewards system for yourself to help keep you motivated to exercise... also find things that interest you - sign up for salsa aerboics, strip aerobics, a boot camp.. dance lessons... whatever you can think of thats fun but is also getting your body moving... exercise doesnt mean trodding away on a treadmill day in and day out ya know? Even cleaning the house and be exercise if you keep that body moving!

ok i pooled all my cigarette money together (yup ive kinda become a quitter, not doing the best but its worked mostly) and invested in a wii fit. seriously, best investment i ever made. i probably hated exercising more than anyone and that was my biggest thing, is how do i do this with as minimal exercise as possible... oh wait... i cant. i have found the wii fit so easy to use and i am in love!!!
becca- src... ah a girl after my own heart!
i work out to the wii fit people but i put on music on saturdays and dance around with my son. we dance around to everything from patsy cline, to poe, to oldies doo wop... i find if im playing with him rather than just paying attention to exercising an hour has passed and we both have gotten a good work out!

I agree with everyone else, try something new for a workout.

I guess what I do is consider working out just as much a part of my day as brushing my teeth or getting dressed.  I also think of it as part of my "job" .....if I don't do it, my body is not going to get a very good performance review.  lol...cheesy, I know...but it does get me to the gym!
